This page highlights my best work as I furthered my studies of technology integration within the classroom setting. As I gained more experience through classwork, field experience, and student teaching, I acquired many educational tools. I compiled many of these works into one page - my gallery. These examples all outline ways in which technology can be integrated effectively into a future elementary classroom in order to enhance the learning environment as a whole.

I created this lesson plan as an eLearning Day/At Home assignment. Creating an interactive link that connects all the material and assignments was done in the intent of keeping students engaged throughout the lesson. It is appealing to the eye, easy to manipulate, and holds all needed information. I believe that this form of eLearning assignment enables the students learning environment from home to be effective and efficient.

I did a one-on-one virtual tutor session with a Kindergartener working on reading/literacy. Over the course of a semester, I designed lesson plans based on the student's needs and then wrote up a reflection that included my teaching point(s), kid-watching notes, and my next steps. I, then, wrote an analysis on my reasoning behind each lesson and how it influenced my student's progress. I concluded the student literacy profile by writing a report based on the student's accomplishments; I stated the strengths, weaknesses, and steps suggested in moving forward.

Using the TedTalk as reference, I discussed the dangers of a single story in the learning environment. In addition to this reflection, I created a middle grades math lesson plan on how to avoid a one-sided learning experience in my subject area. I used the different measuring systems to connect social context with mathematical conversions. The students will learn not only math, but also the history of how the imperial and metric systems came into play around the world.

This is a three-lesson module for lower-mid elementary level science and engineering. The main focus of the lesson is problem solving through multiple methods/tools. This series allow students to explore the wide-range of resources available to solve one single problem. It is applicable to life by emphasizing the importance of finding tools that are effective and efficient.

The "Perfect Cover-Up" is a lesson on area. This document contains anticipated solutions, a detailed lesson plan, lesson resources, and a monitoring chart to use as teaching the lesson. The students are able to visualize the definition of area through hands-on manipulatives. There are multiple moments for students to explore and discuss various approaches to solving for area, or covering a given space.

Comparing 10-Frames is a lesson that I created to be used either virtually or in-person. I created this lesson plan during the time of the pandemic and while working with a group of interns focusing on how to make online learning easier for those who have never experienced such circumstances. This is a lesson that I shared with others to be a resource during the pandemic. I included slides to use hand-in-hand with the lesson.

In my Fall 2021 social studies field placement, I created a 4 lesson unit on the first grade Indiana standards regarding family and cultural understanding. To the right, you will see the first lesson of the unit; however, the full unit is linked on the title above. In this unit, the students are expected to obtain understanding of the past, present, and future, family structures and roles, traditions, and cultural differences regarding family styles. They will be formally assessed by an end-of-unit booklet that demonstrates knowledge of each of the listed objectives.

In my Spring 2021 social studies field placement, I created a 3 lesson unit on the third grade Indiana standard regarding dimensional shape attributes and classification. To the right, you will see the first lesson of the unit; however, the full unit is linked on the title above. In this unit, the students are expected to identify, classify, and construct 2-dimensional shapes according to their attributes. This lesson is adapted for a lower-level group of students; however, I have provided many additional activities that could be used to scale up the lesson.
